These plants are so original for our Western eyes that they cannot fail to arouse curiosity or interest, because of their immense flowers with amazing shapes and colors. Of a size which varies, according to the species, from the shrub to the tree, Proteaceae have in common to be originating from arid or tropical zones. If the high heat is not a problem for them, it is quite different from the negative temperatures which must be preserved. This is why, under our skies, they will mainly be enjoyed on the coast.
